- After he cast Ultima on your party,you switch to 2nd,and then summon Hecatoncheir.He will fall down.
- Quickly cast bio on him,until he change into poison state.
- Just before run down summon’s SP gauge,you press square button.Change into Driving mode.
- Just before run down Driving gauge,you use Gatling Cannon(UP+0 button).You ditto 30 times.You need to buy as much as possible.Because he’s HP is decreased by a poison.At last press triangle button.
- Once driving mode ends,you debuff him,and buff your party(haste),and then switch to 3rd,adn increase his break gauge.
- Once he change into Break State,you switch to 4th.
- If he satan up,you can not beat him.But if you have Elixir.By using it,your TP are filled up.you can summon Hecatoncher again.
- By equipping a Connoisseur Catalog,he drop a Trapezohedron and Platinum ingot.Sale price of Platinum ingot is 150000gil.
How to beat a shaolong gui
You need that completely upgraded the Crystariumu of all party.And two of party equip Genji’s Forearm and Kaiser knuckle.and I recommend that you buy some Smelly liquid.

- When he cast Dull on your party,you toss a smelly liquid or cast Despega(TP ability).
- When all of your party’s HP gets low,you cast full cure(TP ability)

This guide needs be more specific, especially pertaining to paradigms. It isn’t very helpful to say “switch to second” because you are to customize and generate your various paradigms.

I cannot find a reason to use snow, sazh or van anytime at all in this game. As customizable as the groups can be, it appears as if you only gimp your squad with the three lesser members.

Sazh has two useful weapons with interesting effects, the Procyons which in their second form elongate the stagger time by about 50% meaning that once the critter is staggered you can lay on the hurt for alot longer and the Antares which unlike Lightning’s Lionheart have chain bonus II in their second form. The cold blood skill also does 18 hits very fast allowing for some serious chain guage boosting with 3x ravengers especially when the opponent is staggered it adds 300% in one use easily.
Early game Vanille is useless but once she gets her lvl 9 crystalerium she gets alot of magic making her a good spell caster. She also gets death which has a 1% + 1% for every negative buff chance of instantly killing a monster so with Belladonna Wand you can take down some of the tougher monsters, bosses and missions with 5 star rating eg. the 3x tonberrys, Neochu, Adamantoises and Orphan when staggered. The Healer’s Staff makes her a good medic easily capable of rivaling Hope.

Long Gui, you are not reading properly. The guide’s author DOES recommend specific paradigms for boss fights. He/she orders them as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, before the numbered directions. That’s why the directions are written that way.

fyi, that strategy didnt work at all for me against alexander. I used protection, solidarity, and relentless assault against him and won first try with it(they all are preprogrammed in before the fight). He was knocking hope out in two hits with your strategy.

Mission 30 stone is if you go to the very big black and red monster you see behind the rocks in gran pulse treasure. And the beast you have to destory is in Mah’habara, i see the star, but donno how to get there. Because its not on the road and dont know the road to get to it.

For that mission just take Atomos on the return route he forms a bridge to that section, there is a forced tyrant battle near the mission 53 stone on the way to the target.

Hey I have a question, I dont want to expend CP’s until I got the crystarium expanded, but now I have 999.999 and the primary roles are full, do you need to do full upgrade for the secondary roles too?
Does anyone knows at which point in chapter 11 do I get the crystarium expanded? and If I go to barthandelus will I move to chapter 12 with no chance of going back to finish the missions? Or do you have the possibility to decide when to move on?

The crystarium is expanded to stage 10 when you complete the game and you are taken back to the narthex with the choice to return to Gran Pulse or Eden whenever you want.

Thanks that’s good to know, but I actually forgot to mention that mi current crystarium level is 8 (full until role level 4). I’d like to know if after defeating barthedelus at chapter 11, can I go back to gran pulse? (Before the completing the game).

Main thing is I have 999.999 CP’s and I’ve been saving them to get level 9 abilities, but I keep doing missions and I don’t want to move forward If I can’t come back until the end of the game. -

Steve after beating Barthedelus(2nd) there is a cutscene where it shows the mission 64 stone you can then board the ship for ch 12 or bum around in ch11 for a while.

Yeah Thnkx ppl, I did kill barthendelus a second time, and I’m staying on Pulse completing the missions of titan now.
p.d. I have crystarium level 9 abilities and Im completing secondary roles in the meantime.
