comments of readeres
- The adamantortoise from mission 63 is good as you always get a gold nugget for completing the quest and with teleport stones you can repeat the mission quite quickly. Near the teleport stone by the entrance to mah’habara is a behemoth king fighting with another monster worth 6600 cp and is always pre-emptive so you can kill in about 11 secs.
- The chocobo treasure hunt also is a good early way to make serious gil as you can make a round passing 20/21 treasure locations in 8 mins and get 50k-130k a run on average and no battles. Once you can kill adamanchelids with ease this method becomes less productive.
- I would like confirmation on this but it seems the mission 63 adamantortoise has a higher drop chance of trapezohedron. Either that or I’ve been lucky.

A pretty good spot to get CP and Gil is Mission 24. The mark is right next to the stone and gives me 867000 cp (with growth egg) and 433000 gil per hour. I use Light/Snow/Fang with around 2k strength, all commando, and beat the battle in 18-20 seconds.
This works quite well for low levels too, when I first got there without farming at all, I got 280k per hour for both cp and gil (about 45 secs for each fight). DrSuperEvil 10-03-29 (月) 23:18

A great way to get Gil if you dont want to keep fighting Adamantoises, is just to do mission 55 again. get another growth egg and sell it. you get 250,000 by selling.
you have to make the trip back and forth to the cieth stone in Oerba, which some people wont like doing, but it helps keep the game interesting rather then just the boring fighting with adamantoises for platinum ingots
to kill mark 55, death works just like the adamantoises, but works a lot quicker for me in this battle, and if it doesnt work quick enough for you, the actual mark isnt too hard to defeat by normal means. but yeah Vanille and death all the way. I found this kept the game a lot more interesting then just farming from adamantoises.

A great way to farm CP, is to go to Mah’habra, go to the cieth stone where you killed the juggernaut guarding it, and just run the route around there, back and forth.
While this isnt the best strategy,it will make the game a lot more interesting by doing CP farming in different areas, i got 999,999 CP from nothing in 40 minutes, which flys by in no time by using the growth egg. the battles last 4 seconds. and there is a constant stream of enemies. giving you from 7000 CP to 10,000 CP.

“A great way to get Gil if you dont want to keep fighting Adamantoises, is just to do mission 55 again. get another growth egg and sell it. you get 250,000 by selling”I don’t think Mission 55 is the best way to obtain GIL because Neochu is one of the strongest bosses and Death spell’s succes rate is slow. And once you finished Mission 55, you cannot get another Growth Egg but 2x Moonblossom Seed. (Each of them cost 6000 GIL). It’s not worth since it depends on your luck and patience.
Using Chocobo is one of interesting ways to obtain GIL. There are 5 random locations in Archylte Steppe chosen in each time you enter the map including reloading save file. Try to find Gold Dust (15,000 GIL), Gold Nugget (60,000 GIL), Plush Chocobo (35,000 GIL) and Moogle Puppet (18,000 GIL).

To farm CP for reaching all roles’ level for each character, there are 3 locations. (Only for English Ver) [Centrail Expanse location is the south side of Archylte Steppe]
1st : Doing Titan’s Trials. Go to north of Archylte Steppe on the right ( where there are circle of marks, [Eastern Tors] ) -> Aggra’s Trough -> Aggra’s Pasture -> The Haerii Oldroad -> Haerii Archaeopolis, You will need to complete Mission 30, 34 to unlock the road to Ways of the Ancients. The Mission 35 is 1st of Titan’s Trials. Then doing mission 36, 38, 42 with Growth Egg equipped. You can get more 200,000 CP in few minutes.
2nd : In the Northern Highplain – on the left of the circle of marks in Eastern Tors – there is a misty place that have 2 Behemoth Kings groups which always appear after you defeated one group. Each group defeated you gain 8000 CP (if equipped Growth Egg, it’d be 16,000 CP). It took me 1m30s to take down a group.
3rd : Far more on the right of Northern Highplain, there is a fight between Behemoth King and Megistotherian, and you alway have a preemptive strike in this fight. To respawn them, simply walk past the near save point. It took you 15s to net 13,200 CP (with Growth Egg equipped).Of courses, Adamantoise is not a bad choice but I don’t recommend it for farming CP. But you need to kill it to obtain a Trapezohedron material for upgrading your weapon to Ultimate version. (required 6 of them)

Farm CP, Dark Matter, Money
After beating the game.
Sho Long Gui x2
Area North of the save spot where the Long Guis guard what once was Adamantoises and 3x Adamancheids. The two Adamancheilds are now Sho Long Gui’s, a child version of the harder Long Gui’s. They each repop in the time it takes to run between them.
Fang – Super Damage – High HP
Snow – Super Damage – High HP – Has Curasa
Sahz – High HP – Stagger Maintenance – Has Curasa(Each character should have over 20,000 HPs before attempting)
Equip Fang and Snow with highest Damage weapons, Fang can hold stagger lock weapon if that is your highest. Equip Sahz with the Stagger Maintenance Weapon.
Equip the following on each of the characters:
Genji Genji Growth Egg (12,000 CP)
Moonbow Anklet x3 (To prevent Roar’s Daze which has an added effect of dispel)
Collector’s Catalouge x3
Connossour’s Catalouge x3(I know that many would scoff, but either it is cumulative if equiped on different characters or the bonus only applies the character who did the killstrike. I wasn’t getting any drops till I equipped them like this, now I get 1/3 Dark Matter and of the ones that do not drop Dark Matter, I get 1/4 Gold Nuggets -50 tests when i posted this-)
Paradigms:
1. SEN/SEN/SEN (Starting Paradigm)
2. SYN/SYN/SYN
3. SAB/SAB/SAB
4. RAV/RAV/RAV
5. COM/COM/COM
6. COM/MED/MED1st thing it will do is quake, once the damage registeres, switch to SYN and get everyone hasted and protected.
Now switch to SAB and get the mob any debuff except slow 1st, this will allow the SAB ability that extends future debuff durations to kick in for Slow.
(I usually just auto until I see any 1 debuff stick, then I spam Slow with Fang.)The debuffs you want on are Deprotect, Deshell, Imperil, Slow, Curse and then spam Daze. Daze overrides daze without cancelling it, so just spam auto and Snow and Fang will just spam Daze.
Once the mob is Dazed (perma-Stunned) Switch to COM/MED/MED and just sit there and wait for Snow and Sahz to heal everyone up, don’t attack the mob because it will unstun him.
Once you are fulled up on HP, switch to SYN/SYN/SYN and get full buffs up, just spam autobuff, it isn’t too important to override Faithra and Bravera on all 3 characters, if you can get it up on Fang and Snow, that would be fine. (Sahz is just there to make the mob’s Stagger last longer)
When you see everyone has some sort of Protect, Shell, Haste, Faith and Brave, switch to RAV/RAV/RAV.
(The mob has been Dazed the whole time you cured up and buffed up.)
Spam auto with RAVs till the Long Gui is 999% Staggered, then switch to either COM/MED/MED if you need to heal up, or straight to COM/COM/COM if you don’t.
(It should only take 1 round of COM/MED/MED to get enough HP to withstand an ill-timed Roar. Then switching to COM/COM/COM is good)Continue to spam auto on COM/COM/COM until the mob is down to around 10% of it’s stagger bar left, then do Fang’s Highwind. If your advanced enough, you will kill it.
If you didn’t kill it, it should be pretty low, move back to a COM/MED/MED heal up and take a few pock shots at it, if it needs to be debuffed, do it, if not, move right back to RAV/RAV/RAV and stagger it again.
Always move to SEN/SEN/SEN if it does Ultima, Roar or Quake and the fringeward effects will cumulate.
Without Gain Rings or Entite rings, I usually only take 1700-2300 damage from quake if everyone is in SEN.
The Moonbow Anklet’s are super important because after he uses Roar, he always follows up with Ultima or Quake, and if you don’t have them on, not only does it stun all your characters, it also debuffs most of your buffs making it pretty impossible to survive. If you resist Daze, the move will not add Dispel and you keep your buffs.
The main reason I use COM/MED/MED is because when you have him staggered, that is when Fang can do around 30,000 damage a hit and stopping that just because he throws in a random Ultima sucks, so block the Ultima then move to COM/MED/MED while Fang keeps whooping on him, (Should only be 1 turn) as her last attack animation begins, switch to COM/COM/COM and her bar will be full again (ATB Bar trick)
All of that being said, sometimes Ultima will randomly wipe you, it happens, but thankfully not often.
12,000 CP each fight, the possibility of a Dark Matter giving you those 7-8 item upgrades tword the Trophy and also the possibility of a Nugget worth 60k. I know there’s easier ways to farm gil, but if you need CP and need to upgrade those items, dropping 840,000 gil is a tough one, doing it 7-8x would take forever.
Cheers.

SpiriteeX3:
After completing all the mark missions arranged in a circle in the Eastern Tors of the Archelyte Steppe, all the Adamanchelids and Adamantoises “turn into” Shoalong Gui and Long Gui a more powerful version of the originals.
It may be best to complete all but one of these circle mark missions and then farm off of the weaker Adamantoises until you have obtained a trapezohedron (I was unaware of this when I completed all the mark missions but vercingetorix, and now am stuck with Fang and Lightning with * weapons til I can beat Long Gui). Use it to upgrade one of Fang’s weapons to a Kain’s Lance. Once you have capped a Kain’s Lance to max dismantle it! You will receive 3 trapezohedrons and a variety of other stuff. It may prove easier than trying your luck on all those Adamantoises to gain 6 trapezohedrons. Then it becomes a case of grinding the gil (about 1.2mil) to upgrade the weapon again a repeat. You will have enough after the second dismantle to get weapons for everyone. Just to note as well… Traps only sell for 10k a piece which sucks as they cost 2mil to buy…
Also if you don’t mind loosing a Genji Glove you can obtain a trap from dismantling a fully upgraded Genji. I may end up doing this as I use Hope as a Medic/Ravager/Synth and Sab so he’s not really putting out damage that comes anything close to 99,999.

Does mission 63 mark upgrade to a long gui?
TMS-Spaceball1 10-04-24 (土) 9:50

DrSuperEvil:
After completing the last A class fights from the marks in eastern tors (59-63) you will find the Long Gui’s appear.
In regards to making gil I kill sacrifices and sanctum inquisitrix. Warp out to Edenhall from orphans cradle and simply run down the sets of stairs to fight 2 single sacrifices, a 2x sacrifice and an ivysaur looking monster (always pre-emptive strike fight), followed by 2 sets of 2 sacrifices. After those battles run up the stairs and to the right to fight 2 sets of sanctum military units, one with 2 inquisitrix (female combatants) and the other with 3. The run takes me about 10-15 mins max and COM/COM/RAV works pretty decently if you get a preemptive strike holding one mob just at stagger point to speed things up but mostly I RAV/RAV/RAV or RAV/COM/RAV which works equally well. My characters are nearly maxed though (5 jobs rank 5 and 1 rank 4). After the last set of inquisitrix run back and click to “warp to orphans cradle” select “no” to respawn the monsters and run it again.
Sacrifices drop perfume as a common drop (12.5k each) and scarletite (7k each) as a rare drop.
Inquisitrix drop perfume as a rare, and I net anywhere between 50-100k a run with each character having a collectors catalog equipped.
It’s a pretty mindless grind and the CP can add up after a few runs too with growth egg equipped.

Oh, thanks for your info, TMS-Spaceball1. I didn’t complete all missions, so that’s why.
To “LongGui” : Yeah, I tried your way for farming CP at Mah’habara. And it is perfect place. I reached all roles of all character in short time at max level. Thanks for that
To “TMS-Spaceball1″ : Nirvana (the ultimate weapon for Vanille) is worked the same way as Kain’s Lance (the ultimate weapon for Fang) as well.
I didn’t know dismantling Genji Glove will obtain a Trapezohedron. Thanks for that. Now I can fully upgrade all weapons
