Chapter9 Palamecia

THis guide isnt too bad but it doesnt seem to accomodate for people who dont have amazing gear… i mean this is my First FF game i have ever played and i love it HOWEVER i have made some bad decitions in the game so im short on gear… the only thing i thought this was missing was a tri-disaster build… that helped me get the Gauge up a lot faster and then switched back to a med build for heals… worked for me…

Easy trick! once inside airship there is an easy way to make gil and cp. just keep going back and forth between saves without exiting zone, killing all enemies that drop incentive chips. in about 2 hours made about 100 000 gil and 25 000 cp! easy money and cp.

For Florion – im on section 8 of chapter 9 – is the airship u refer to before this point?

Also does anyone understand the upgrades and dismantle?

Upgrading increases items magic and strength values or upgrades their ability (look at weapons and accessory sections of this guide) but considering you dont get easy access to the catalysts needed to upgrade them to their higher forms before Ch11 rather wait a bit longer. In CH11 you get access to the chocobo treasure hunt which gives 50-100k gil every 10 odd minutes and finds free low catalysts while completing mission 7 gets you the R&D Depot shop which sells the most cost effective inorganic materials for upgrading items so rather wait till then before upgrading items. Max lvl items when dismantled drop a range of items based on the item dismantled, the only items worth dismantling are Tetra Tiara and some ultimate weapons for 3x Trapezohedron (there is a guide on http://www.gamefaqs.com that lists what all items dismantle into).

i tried using this way but it failed for me. but i am using lightning, hope, and fang. I’ve been using only two paradigms. Relentless attack and timeless change where i use lightning and hope as ravagers and fang as the commando in relentless attack and then timeless change when lightning is a ravager and fang as commando and then hope, the medic.you can use the relentless to stagger his guns then go to tireless to keep your party safe as you destroy the guns. it seems easier this way. ^_^
